Plug-Ins
The Flash plug-in is bundled along with all the major browser distributions and Operational Systems since 1996 or so. Over 98% of the users today already have the Flash plug-in installed. If not, the visitor will be prompted for downloading the Flash plug-in prior to accessing the site. This is a seamlessly automated process for the Windows/ Internet Explorer user. The Master Series requires the Flash 4 plug-in while the Premium, Corporate and the recently revamped Portfolio Series require the user to have the Flash 5 plug-in installed.

How the search engine robots will access/index my Flash site?
Search engines look for Meta-Tags in order to "spider" web sites. The site will be ranked based on many factors, depending on the search engine, but all of them look for meta-tag information. The Meta-Tags are placed within the page that embeds the Flash movie, so it doesn't realy matter if your site is Flash-based or not as long as you provide accurately meta-tag information. Check our support center for details.

Does it take too long to load?
No. Similar sites (with similar graphics) built using plain HTML language take 30 to 50% more time to load than Flash sites according to our tests.

About Flash MX
Early 2002, Macromedia has launched the latest version of the Flash 6 plug-in (also know as Flash MX). This version is fully compatible to either Flash 4 and Flash 5.Unfortunately, near 30% of users, up to this date, are able to visualize web sites created using Flash MX, and that is why we have not adopted the MX technology yet.
Although some web developers are building web sites based on Flash MX to their customers, we recommend you to pay careful attention if you are considering developing a web site that requires the Flash MX plug-in, since 70% of users will not be able to access your web site.
We, at FlashToGo, estimate that, not earlier than 2004, the Flash MX technology will likely to be viable in regards to accessibility (80%-90% of the Internet users).
