Can I use the interfaces as a CD Rom presentation?
You sure can! The FlashToGo System can easily generate the presentation for CD-Rom use. If your site support external links (all Series do except for the Portfolio and Band) you can easily link to collateral documents such as PowerPoint presentations, Word Documents, AVI movies etcetera, right from the interface using one of the links provided. The CD-Rom version is a self-contained application. It means, there is no need for plug-ins in order to access the Presentation.

Can I include collateral files (Word/PDF/Excel/AVI movies)?
Yes, and this is one of the most exciting (and exclusive) features.Instead of using the links to forward users to a different page, as you do when authoring for the website version, you can use the links provided at the interface to LINK to collateral documents or files.
Assuming the viewer has the proper application to open that particular file, the presentation will automatically lauch the application and open the file. Simple as that. :-)
For example, if you link to a .DOC (MS Word) file, if the user has the Word application installed, the presentation will first launch the Word application and automatically open the file attached.
The same principle applies to Excel documents, PDF (Adobe Acrobat), AVI or QuickTime (movies) etcetera.
In order to link to a document, you simply type the name of the document, along with the file suffix, within the URL Link field at the Editing interface of the FlashToGo website. eg: somedocument.doc or movie01.avi
ATTENTION! The Portfolio Series does not support external buttons to link to collateral applications/files.

How easy it is to generate a Windows-compatible CD?
When authoring for Windows-only systems, the files come pretty much ready-to-go. You will just need to group all the files within a single folder and burn the CD’s.If you are authoring for Windows and Macintosh (hybrid CD’s) then you will need to read the Macintosh topic (next).

How easy it is to generate a Mac-compatible CD?
It may sound silly, but we must highlight that, if you intend to burn a CD for Macintosh Systems, you will need a Macintosh hardware. Many people do not realize that. :-)Otherwise, if you do only have access to a Windows-based system but want Mac user's to have access to it, the only alternative is to burn your CD as ISO 9660 format. This is NOT a restriction from the FlashToGo in particular.
The auto-execute applications feature, such as accessing Word, Powerpoint etcetera, works seamlessly when considering Windows systems, however, in regards to the Macintosh OS, it turns out to be a bit more complicated.
