What is Hosting? Do I need it?
If you want to have a website pubished at the internet then you will need a Hosting Provider.A Hosting Provider is a company that rent space for your website files at their computers (web servers) that are 24 hours a day connected to the internet.
These computers (web servers) have special features and are able to host your own domain (yourcompany.com) and mostly do also offer Email services (you@yourcompany.com).
Hosting Services are different from Internet Access Services, even though some companies might provide both.
Please note that, you may choose one Internet Service Provider company and have your site hosted at a different Hosting company.

Absolutely not. You can host your web site at the Hosting Provider of your choice.

Do you provide Hosting services?
No. FlashToGo is about web design. We provide a way for users to easily build and edit their sites with ease.The site files are generated at our server and then transferred to your own web server (where your site/domain is hosted).
Currently, FlashToGo does not provide Hosting services.

Do you provide Domain registration?
No. Your Hosting provider is much probably able to provide registration for your Domain (www.yourcompany.com). -
Do you provide Email accounts?
No. Email accounts are an integral part of the Hosting Provider services. It comes along with your Domain/Hosting. -

How to transfer the files to my own Hosting Server?
You can use the FTP (Publishing) Module provided at the end of the editing process.Another option is to request the files to be sent to your Email box, and use a FTP shareware to transfer your files to your srver separately.

Where do I get the FTP (publishing) info?
Only your hosting provider can tell you that.You will need:
FTP server address;
The Web directory path;

Hosting Server: Windows Vs. Unix
There is no difference in regards to the site generated by our system. You can choose any system you like.There are no special requirements.

How much space (at the web server) do I need?
The generated sites require no more than 2MB.The Portfolio Series might require a bit more because of the large number of images. 5 MB top.
