  • Can I include my own Soundtrack?

    Yes. You can include your own MP3 track!

    This is how it works: at the Music Control Panel you should select Your Own MP3. After that, you MUST upload your mp3 files directly to your web server (where your site/domain is hosted). In order to do that, you will need to use a third-party FTP shareware, which is in fact very easy to use and a must for anyone willing to maintain his/her own web site.

    The file you upload MUST be named: music.mp3

  • Can you guys do that for me?

    It does not make any sense sending a large file to us for us upload to your server. :-) You can do it yourself. It is easy and after you do it for the first time, you can do it any time you want. :-)

  • If I upload my own MP3 track, will it be streaming?

    Yes! It will start playing after 5% of the file is loaded.

  • How large a MP3 file can be?

    Well, it will depend own your audience, the people who visit your site. Dial-up users will probably have a hard time downloading a 4 or 5 MB file. The website itself might hang a bit if you upload a very large file.

  • Is there any restriction?

    In order to hear the music track, the user must have the Flash 6 plug-in installed.

    The site itself requires the Flash 5 plug-in, which has been largely distributed (over 99% of users), while the Flash 6 plug-in has been released in early 2003. Some visitors might not have it already installed and will be unable to listen to your music track.

    Our default soundtrack library is based on the Flash 5 plug-in.

  • Can I upload other sound formats (wav)?

    No. The only acceptable format is MP3 and the file you upload MUST be named music.mp3.

  • Jukebox/Music Library

    The sites found at FlashToGo were not designed for building a Jukebox or Music Library. However, since we have been receiving quite some requests lately :-), we decided to look for some solution in order to help our customers.

  • Can I change the sound effects for the buttons?

    No. Unless of course you request a custom job.

    In that case, you must provide us with the sound effects you want or indicate other site model from our collection that has it.

    We will need to create and maintain a template for your exclusive use, since it would be different from the ones found at our collection and that are used to generate the sites for other customers.

    Such a job requires 3-4 working hours to complete (US$ 150-200) depending on your requirements.
