  • What is a Theme?

    The Theme is the background "themed" image that loads underneath the navigational interface.

    The Theme can either be a solid color, some image or even a Flash movie (.swf file) created separately.

  • Can I modify the Theme later on?

    Yes. You can opt for a different Theme (background image) whenever and as frequent as you like.

  • Can I upload my own Theme (background image)?

    You sure can.

    If you did not find any background image that fits your needs, or if you want a more Corporate flavor added to your site, this feature is just for you.

  • What dimensions, size, format?

    The image must be saved as a plain .JPG image file.

    Optionally, you can upload a Flash movie (.swf) file.

    In order to preserve the performance of your Flash web site, the upload maximum file size (background image) has been limited to 60 kbytes.
    800 pixels wide X 340 pixels tall.

  • Optimizing the image size

    60 kb is plenty enough to create a background image. We do not impose this restriction because we are bad guys :-) We do that in order to preserve the performance of your Flash site. Otherwise your site might become to "heavy" and would take too long to load.

    In case you absolutely need to include a larger file, you can do that by uploading it separately to your webserver (where your site is hosted) using some third-party FTP shareware. The file must be a Flash movie named: backgrnd.swf

    Explore the save for web option when in Photoshop in order to optimize your image.

    You will see that you will be able to produce a nice quality image at a very reasonable size (in kbytes).

  • Uploading a Flash movie file as a background.

    If you are a bit Flash savvy, you might want to create your own Flash movie and use it as a background.

    The big deal is that you may eventually include some extra button, links to other pages, animation, sub menu or actionscripting within this movie.

    This is one of the most exciting features that makes the Corporate and Premium Series so flexible.

  • Can you create a custom Theme for me?

    Yes. You may drop a note to our support team explaining what kind of image you have in mind.

    A custom background image will generally require 3 to 6 working hours (US$ 150.00 - 300.00).
